Why do it?

Smart fields allow you to track certain important data in your contracts. But not all smart fields are relevant to all templates in your organization.

For example, smart fields such as "Warranty Period" or "Liability Cap" will be relevant values to track for a supplier or customer contract, but will not be relevant for an HR contract.

Leeway therefore offers the ability to choose which smart fields to deploy to which contract type, to which templates. To keep only the smart fields you are interested in for each template, and focus on the essentials 💻

How to do it?

To link one or more smart fields to a template, simply click on the filter icon on the section "Summary sheet" and tick the smart fields you want for this template.

The unchecked smart fields are in the "Hidden smart fields".

You can therefore choose to check/uncheck smart fields at any time to link them to the template.

You can manage the order in which fields are displayed using the arrows that appear to the right of a field when you hover over it.

All smart fields linked to a template will thus appear in the summary sheet of all the new projects generated from this template 👌🏼

⚠️ Keep two things in mind:

  • With each new smart field you create, remember to link it to the desired template(s), otherwise you will not be able to find it in a project's information and complete it.

  • After linking a smart field to a template, remember to refresh the page to ensure that the link is effective.
